Pistol and rifle practice or competitive sessions are held all year.
Team pistol matches (Bullseye) for both small or big bore guns
take place most of the year (fall, winter, spring).
Practical Pistol Competition includes three separate activities which are conducted
on the 3rd and 4th Wednesday evening of each month at 7pm.
Participants pay a modest fee, currently $5.00.Law Enforcement
and Active Military personnel shoot free.
“Plates” entail shooting at reactive targets until they are all down, time is up or the
shooter runs out of bullets.The goal is to continually reduce the time required to knock down all targets. Leaders now average
12 targets in 15 seconds, including at least one reload.
“International Defense Pistol Association (IDPA) Style Shoots” involves IDPA
targets and varied scenarios such as “Bad day to cash a check” and “Terrorists at the Dairy Queen.”Emphasis is on drawing,
moving and shooting safely and accurately.
“NRA Certification” is focused on gaining certifications at various levels of expertise.
